Bianca Pagdanganan reignited the Philippines’ medal campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics after staying in medal contention with a second-round 3-under-par 69 in the women’s golf competition on Thursday, Aug. 8.

The second-time Olympian banked on her steady game at the back nine where she fired three birdies while shooting two birdies against the same amount of bogeys on the front nine for a two-round total of 141.
She was five strokes behind temporary leader Morgane Metraux of Switzerland after a first-round 72.
Pagdanganan remained tied for sixth with half of the field still battling it out at Le Golf National including Dottie Ardina, who struggled in the opening round with a 76.
Yuka Saso, who played for the PH in the Tokyo Games three years ago but is now representing Japan, also staggered with rounds of 77 and 74 to currently share the 50th place.
