Woman hammered to death by father in Quezon

SAN NARCISO, Quezon – A 26-year-old woman allegedly suffering from mental illness was hammered to death by her father in Sitio Lamboy, Barangay San Vicente, this town, on Tuesday morning, August 6.

Police identified the victim as Imelda Gataga Baraauiel.

Investigation said the victim suffered from a mental illness and tried to attack her father, Salvador, 53, widower, with intent to kill.

Salvador grabbed a hammer and hit the victim in the head multiple times.

The victim died on the spot due to head injuries and hematoma in the right arm.

Police arrested Salvador and faces a parricide case.
