Cinemalaya Bente: Loob, Lalim, Lakas

Where: Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Greenbelt, Trinoma, UP Town Center, and Market! Market!

This year’s Cinemalaya packs a punch with its roster of Filipino independent films. This year’s festival plays with the theme “Loob, Lalim, Lakas,” highlighting Filipino artists’ values and their connection with the audience. Its lineup includes 10 short films and 11 full-length movies that are now screening in select Ayala Malls cinemas.

Kicks and Sticks

Where: Nhue Creative, Makati City

Clothing brand Phia the Label is bringing your 2000s rom-com fantasy to life this weekend. The brand is rounding up local fashion brands, the best food and drinks, and photobooth brands at its pop-up at Nhue Creative in Makati City.

Sampaloc Heritage Walk 
When: August 10, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where: The tour starts at the Far Eastern University Campus, Manila City

Sarap ng Pinoy Fiesta

Butterboy Bakehouse is celebrating Buwan ng Wika with a fiesta! Its Sarap ng Pinoy Fiesta event will feature a star-studded lineup of drag performances and baked goodies highlighting Filipino flavors. Admission is free!

Weekend Hub Club

Hub Make Lab welcomes part-time labbers to its space through the Weekend Hub Club. Now on its fourth week, the Weekend Hub Club welcomes emerging entrepreneurs to the iconic First United Building as they test-drive what it’s like to be part of the Hub. This weekend, it will feature the works of Bensycake and the baked goods of Cookie Digest.
