Quiboloy just hiding at KOJC compound in Davao City – Torre
DAVAO CITY – Police Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Davao region chief, said that Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy is just hiding at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Barangay Buhangin here.

Torre said that based on tips from informants received through a hotline, the fugitive pastor is just staying within the 30-hectare compound.
He added that several followers are being used as “shield” to prevent law enforcers from entering the compound. This makes it hard for them to enforce the arrest warrants against Quiboloy, Torre said.
“Nandiyan siya, ginagamit lang niya ang mga tao para i-shield siya. Based on the information that we have, we are inclined to really believe na nandiyan siya (He’s just there. He’s just using his people as shield. Based on the information that we have, we are inclined to believe that he is just there),” he said.
Torre said that during an operation last June 10, police were not only prevented but also sprayed with water by church members.
He maintained that this act was not done in self-defense as claimed by the counsels of Quiboloy during a Senate hearing on Monday, August 5.
During the hearing, Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, chairman of the Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, called for a Senate inquiry on the alleged excessive force used by the police during the operation at the compound in Barangay Buhangin here and Prayer and Glory Mountains in Barangay Tamayong, this city.
Torre said that police received information after they opened a hotline where individuals can report the whereabouts of Quiboloy and his co-accused.
The hotline was opened following the announcement of a P10-million cash reward for information on the whereabouts of Quiboloy and P1 million for his co-accused.
The pastor’s co-accused in the child abuse and qualified human trafficking charges were Paulene Canada, who was arrested last July 11 at her residence in Emily Homes Subdivision in Barangay Cabantian here; Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Ingrid Canada, and Sylvia Cemañes, his co-accused in child abuse and qualified human trafficking charges.
In another operation on Monday, Torre said that police failed to arrest Cresente in Barangay Tamayong where he was allegedly seen.
He asked Quiboloy to voluntarily surrender.
“Kung talagang inosente ka (if you are really innocent), submit yourself to the rule of law. Surrender kayo sa judge. Dalhin ninyo ang napakagaling ninyng abogado (Surrender yourself to the judge. Bring your very good lawyers),” he said.
