Fireman electrocuted while fighting blaze in Quezon

PAGBILAO, Quezon – A 25-year-old fireman was electrocuted while battling a blaze in Barangay Santa Catalina here on Tuesday morning, August 6.

Police identified the victim as Fire Officer 1 Marlon Atis of the Pagbilao Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Atis stepped on a melted live electrical wire and was electrocuted. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

Two food stalls were razed and damage to property was P100,000.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

The Lucena City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office mourned the death of Atis.
