Cop killed in car crash in Northern Samar

TACLOBAN CITY – A police officer was killed in a car crash in Barangay Potong del Sur, Lapinig, Northern Samar, on Wednesday, August 7.

The victim was assigned to the Lapinig Municipal Police Station and a resident of Barangay Asum, Palapag, Northern Samar.

Investigation said the victim lost control of his car on his way to Barangay Alangalang in Lapinig to monitor activities of the New People’s Army (NPA).

The victim hit a coconut tree and was taken to the Gamay Gamay District Hospital in Gamay, Northern Samar where he was declared dead due to serious injuries.

His car was a total wreck.
