111 wanted persons nabbed in Western Visayas

ILOILO CITY — Police arrested 111 wanted persons in Western Visayas region in two days.

The Police Regional Office-6 apprehended 12 most wanted persons and 99 other wanted persons from 6 a.m. on August 5 to 6 a.m. on August 7.

Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director, said there is no letup in the campaign against fugitives.

“Hangad po natin na mahuli at mapanagot sa batas ang lahat na wanted persons dito sa ating rehiyon. Asahan ho ninyo na ang inyong kapulisan ay patuloy na hinahanap ang mga natitira pang may mga pananagutan sa batas (We will catch all the wanted persons in the region and hold them accountable to the law. We assure you that we will continue to go after wanted persons),” said Wanky.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office caught the most number of wanted persons with 56, followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office with 20, Antique Police Provincial Office, 13; eight by the Aklan Police Provincial Office, five by the Bacolod City Police Office, five by the Capiz Police Provincial Office, two by the Iloilo City Police Office, and two by the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-6.
