358,651 individuals to take CSC career service exam on Aug. 11
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Wednesday, Aug. 7 announced the list of testing centers and issued important reminders in preparation for the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) set for Aug. 11.
It said that 358,651 individuals are expected to participate in the Professional or Subprofessional Level exams.
CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles urged the test takers to review Examination Advisory No. 11, s. 2024, and access their designated school via the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA) available on the CSC website.
“The CSC, along with dedicated teachers and volunteer government employees, is all set to administer the CSE across 95 testing centers in 16 regions nationwide. All exam takers aiming for civil service eligibility are encouraged to familiarize themselves with their assigned testing venue and pay attention to all provided reminders. This will help maximize their chances of success and ensure the exam is conducted smoothly,” Nograles said.
Don’t be late
Examinees are reminded to arrive at their testing venue by 6:30 a.m., or as specified by the CSC Regional or Field Offices.
Gates will close promptly at 7:45 a.m., and late arrivals will not be admitted.
The examination venues will also enforce a strict “No ID, No Exam” policy.
Examinees are advised to present a valid ID card on the day of the examination, preferably the same one used during the application process.
If a different ID card is presented, it must be one of the accepted forms of identification for the civil service exam.
Prohibited items
The CSC also reminded the exam takers that the use of calculators is not permitted during the CSE-PPT.
Using any other aids to answer the exam, including watch calculators, tablets, books, and other materials or gadgets, is also prohibited.
Furthermore, taking the test booklet out of the testing room or venue is strictly prohibited.
Examinees are also not allowed to bring electronic devices to their seats, such as cellular phones, smartwatches, or any other gadgets that could capture audio or video recordings of the test materials or exam process.
Using any paper, body parts, clothing, or the margins and back page of the Answer Sheet for scratch work is strictly prohibited.
Examinees should use only the designated spaces in the Test Booklet for any scratch work.
Proper attire
They are also encouraged to use transparent bags for their belongings and to wear appropriate attire, preferably plain white shirts or tops, on examination day.
Sleeveless shirts or blouses, shorts, tokong pants, ripped jeans, and slippers are strictly prohibited. Long hair should be tied back.
Only black ball pens are allowed for filling out the answer sheets; gel pens, sign pens, fountain pens, friction pens, or any other types of pens, including colored ball pens, are not allowed.
Examinees who are unable to access their ONSA should contact the CSC Regional or Field Office concerned, call the Contact Center ng Bayan, or message the official CSC Facebook page for assistance.
