'Nagka-love life na ko': Migs Nograles says 'Young Guns' gave her a boyfriend

Thanks to the "Young guns" bloc in the House of Representatives, Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) Party-list Rep. Margarita "Migs" Nograles now has a love life.

Nograles, a deputy majority leader, cheerily shared this fact to House reporters on Tuesday, Aug. 6 during the press conference for the launch of their television show, “Young Guns on the Move".

"Ipapa-add lang daw nila, dahil lang din daw sa Young Guns--totoo ito--nagka-love life na ko," said Nograles, who during the presser was flanked by her fellow bloc members.

(They want me to add this, it's only because of the Young Guns--and this is true--that I now have a love life.)

The so-called Young Guns--composed of the younger members of the House, many of them neophytes--started out as a "barkada" or clique in the 19th Congress.

But House Speaker Martin Romualdez saw their potential and subsequently gave them a platform to speak this minds. Soon, Nograles and company were at the forefront in answering contentious issues affecting the country.

And somewhere along the way, the lady solon from Davao found the love of her life. Only, the didn't name the lucky person.

"Kailangan niyo pong manood ng next few episodes [ng Young Guns on the Move]," Nograles said when pressed about her boyfriend's identity.

A quick look at Nograles' social media shows that she has become incredibly close with Young Gun Davao Oriental 2nd district Rep. Cheeno Miguel Almario during the past few months. Almario wasn't around during Tuesday's press conference.

The rumored couple was seen arriving together on the red carpet during the July 22 State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Marcos.

Speaker Romualdez said the Young Guns' TV show "would certainly bring new ideas and bold approaches both to the role of Congress in legislation and in addressing national issues head-on".

It will be aired every Thursday from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on PTV4, CongressTV Channel 14 in Metro Manila, Channel 46 in GMA Affordabox and Channel 2 on ABS-CBN TVPlus. It will also be streamed on official Facebook pages and YouTube channels of Young Guns of the 19th Congress, CongressTV, and PTV4.

“To the young lawmakers featured in this program, may your paths encourage more young Filipinos to step forward, participate in governance, and contribute to nation-building. Let us all look forward to more innovative and inclusive governance as these young leaders continue to move and shake the pillars of our political landscape,” Romualdez said.
