Marcos congratulates Oyun-Erdene for reelection as Mongolia PM
President Marcos sent his congratulatory message to Mongolian Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai for his reelection last June.

Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Enrique Manalo conveyed the President’s message during his meeting with the reelected official.
“An honor to meet the Prime Minister of (Mongolia), H. E. @OyunerdeneMN. I conveyed Pres. @bongbongmarcos' greetings and congratulated him on his re-election,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Oyun-Erdene was reelected for another term after his ruling Mongolian People's Party won a slim majority in the regular parliamentary elections held last June 28.
Manalo also shared that he and the Prime Minister had a “fruitful discussion” on a range of issues.
“We had a fruitful discussion on enhancing (Philippines-Mongolia) ties, recognizing the promising opportunities for deepening our cooperation,” he added.
The prime minister thanked the Philippines for its “generous support in mitigating disaster risks, highlighting our enduring friendship.”
He added Mongolia is “looking forward to further fruitful collaboration in critical areas.”
Earlier, Manalo also shared about his visit with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg, with whom he discussed plans to strengthen the two countries’ bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in the fields of education, people-to-people exchanges, climate change, and agriculture, among others.
“During my official visit to Mongolia, the first ever by a PH Foreign Secretary, FM @BattsetsegBatm2 and I had a very substantive & productive political consultations, where we resolved to boost our bilateral engagements towards more tangible & mutually-beneficial outcomes,” the DFA chief wrote.
“We covered a broad range of topics - trade, education inc. teacher training, labor, tourism, agriculture & regional dev't, and also multilateral support, as I raised PH's UNSC candidature. We look to a promising future for (Philippines and Mongolia) ties as we pursue more areas for collaboration,” she added.
During his meeting with the Mongolian foreign minister, Manalo also announced a donation of $50,000 for disaster risk reduction.
