Manila to hold hero's welcome for 2-time Olympic gold medalist Yulo

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan announced that preparations are now underway for the grand hero's welcome for two-time Gold Olympic Medalist Carlos Yulo when he returns to the country after his historic feat at the Paris Olympics.
Mayor Lacuna-Pangan said Yulo, who is a native of Malate, Manila, was admired not only in the Philippines but throughout the world because of the gymnastic prowess he displayed.

It said the parade might began on Leveriza Street in Malate, where Yulo grew up.
The parade may pass through areas near Malacañang and University Belt, and will end at Manila City Hall, where he will receive cash incentives, honors, and recognition from the local government.
"This is our way of paying tribute to Caloy’s greatness," Lacuna-Pangan said.
The city will also welcome all the Paris Olympians who will return to the country.
The local government disclosed that they are still coordinating with Yulo's team to confirm the date of the hero's welcome.
Yulo was among the “Outstanding Manilan” awardees who received plaques of recognition during the celebration of Manila's 453rd Founding Anniversary in June.
The Manila City Council (MCC) also passed Resolution No. 388 to celebrate the victory of brothers Carlos and Karl Eldrew Yulo in the Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championship held in Tashkent Uzbekistan in May.
