LTO to expand mobile services for driver's license, vehicle registration renewal

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will expand its mobile services to reach even far-flung areas for various transactions that include renewal of driver’s license and motor vehicle registration.

LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Vigor D. Mendoza II said he already tasked all regional directors and district office heads to deploy the E-Patrol Services to as many barangays in the coming weeks.

“This does not only assure comfortable and fast LTO services but would also pave the way to the people living very far from LTO offices to save time, energy and time in any transaction like renewing their driver’s licenses or the motor vehicle registration,” said Mendoza.

“This is part of our initiative to make all LTO services more accessible to the community. Through our E-Patrol Services, the people even in far-flung areas can conveniently access important LTO services,” said Mendoza.

The official said the program is also intended to encourage more delinquent vehicle owners to register their motor vehicles amid reports that millions of motorcycles and cars remain unregistered.

“Instead of going to LTO offices, it is the LTO which will go to them, through our barangay services,” said Mendoza.
