A pusher and high-value individual (HVI) who had previously been arrested and released for drug-related offenses was apprehended again in a buy-bust operation in Antipolo City, Rizal, on Monday, August 5.


The Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) said that the suspect, identified as "Jack" was arrested during the operation conducted by personnel of the Antipolo Component City Police Station in Barangay Inarawan in Antipolo.
He was apprehended after selling a packet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer who posed as a buyer.
Confiscated from the suspect were four packets and one plastic bag of suspected shabu, weighing approximately 100 grams, with a standard drug price of P680,000, along with other drug paraphernalia.
Based on the investigation, the suspect had been arrested for drug-related offenses and was released after plea bargaining.
The police said that the confiscated evidence was brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory and drug test examination. The suspect is now detained.
The Antipolo CCPS is now preparing a criminal complaint against the suspect for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
