Malolos gov't builds more classrooms to avoid overcrowding, shifting class schedules
To accommodate more students this school year 2024-2025, Malolos City Mayor Christian Natividad led the inauguration of three additional classrooms at Calero Elementary School (CES) on August 1.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Malolos City Vice Mayor Miguel Alberto T. Bautista, with City Administrator Joel S. Rugenio, Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Leilani Cunanan, School head-Calero ES John Joshua Cudia, and the Sangguniang Barangay of Calero led by Barangay Captain Ruben Paraiso.

The three classrooms, measuring 1,351 sq. meters, are part of the efforts to accommodate more students in the school.
The P15 million funds were allocated from the Special Education Fund year 2022 for the construction of additional classrooms at Calero Elementary School because the school only has two classrooms equipped with a small division to teach the 184 students. A classroom shifting schedules scheme was implemented to accommodate the students.
According to Natividad, due to the growing population of students in the school, the city government built the additional classrooms to meet the growing student population.
