3 hurt in Makati tower fire

Three individuals suffered from oxygen deprivation after a fire hit a tower along Chino Roces Street in Barangay Pio Del Pilar, Makati City on Monday, August 5, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

According to the BFP, the blaze started at the 29th floor of the Burgundy Tower at around 5:40 a.m.

It was declared fire out at 7:52 a.m.

Meanwhile, a centenarian and two others were given emergency aid after two of them suffered from smoke inhalation while another experienced difficulty in breathing. They are now in stable condition.

Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and the amount of damage to property.
