Mayor Francis Zamora says photos of his daughter with Daniel Padilla are 'edited'
At a glance
Francis Zamora, the mayor of San Juan City, has come out to say that he is the one who is close to Daniel Padilla and Karla Estrada, not his daughter Amanda who's being romantically linked to Daniel because of some "viral photos" that circulated online.
The mayor said photos of Daniel and Amanda with arms around each other were edited. He implied that it's impossible since his daughter, who was a former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate, has been staying for some time in the United States and will start her master's studies at New York's Fordham University in September.
"Baka ibang tao yun na napagkamalan na si Amanda or it's possible, because of artificial intelligence, marami naman ngayon na gumagawa ng fake stories," the mayor quipped during an interview at the opening of CHARM or Center for Healthy Aging and Regenerative Medicine by Dr. Joel Lopez in Greenhills.
(It might be another person who was mistaken for Amanda, or it's possible that many people are fabricating fake stories because of artificial intelligence.
"Kung meron man nagci-circulate na pictures trying to make it appear as if sila po, ako na ang nagsasabi na hindi yan totoo. Si Daniel Padilla po ay kaibigan ko since 2017 at nagbukas nga kami ng negosyo dito sa Greenhills, sa District 8 (bar) na up to now ay bukas pa rin. We remain good fiends that's why i was very honored na ako ang pinili ng kanilang pamilya na mamuno ng kasal ni JC (Daniel's brother) at kinuha rin po akong ninong," Mayor Zamora revealed.
(If there are pictures circulating online, I am the first to say it's not them. Daniel has been my friend since 2017, when we opened District 8 bar in Greenhills. Until now, the place is operating. Daniel and I remain good friends, that's why I was honored when I was chosen to officiate the wedding of his brother JC and I was also chosen as the godfather to the couple.)
"Si Karla po ay matalik kong kaibigan, si Karla Estrada. Of course si Daniel, kaibigan po natin. Ang kaibigan ni Amanda si Magui (Daniel's younger sister), sa totoo lang," he added.
(Karla Estrada is a close friend of mine. Of course, Daniel is a friend. The truth is that Amanda's friend is Magui.)
Celebs grace CHARM clinic opening
San Juan city's chief executive expressed elation that a longevity clinic like CHARM is now availableto serve the residents of San Juan and other areas.
The center's owner, Dr. Joel Lopez, has a stellar record as a California-based anti-aging doctor until he decided to set up shop in Manila because of the market potential here. Veteran actress Carmi Martin, Ms. Cory Quirino, and movie actor John Arcilla are some of his celebrity clients who have been chosen CHARM ambassadors.
The doctor said about Carmi, " She's been with me for more than 10 years now, even back in the States."
He pointed out that most of his patients like the hyperbaric oxygen treatments, among other services offered by his center. "People do this to improve oxygenation in the body. For people who have poor circulation, this type of treatment will benefit them—those who have migraine headaches, memory loss, and even Parkinson's. So, a lot of neurological diseases can improve on the hyperbaric. But of course, it's not one single approach. It has to be a holistic approach. You gotta address your diet and lifestyle, as well as stress factors. Because all these things influence a person's health."
Dr. Lopez recalled that Channing Tatum of the "Magic Mike" fame used to be his client in Hollywood. "He had to lose weight, so did some hormonal balancing."
"I was practicing in the States full-time for almost 20 years. So I came back in 2013. I guess I would be one of the pioneers regarding longevity here in Manila. But I didn't establish my clinic right away. Instead, I consulted with different holistic or wellness clinics before deciding to go alone," Dr. Lopez remarked.
