The industry’s top OPM artists, Gracenote and Zel Bautista of December Avenue, invite fans to listen to their latest collaboration song, “Balang Araw ay Mapapangiti,” under EMI Records Philippines.

The recently released song is gaining popularity and making the rounds on TikTok with its meaningful message and sentimental vibe.

In an Instagram post, Gracenote wrote, “The inspiration for the song is the single and brokenhearted people that are afraid to fall in love again. The song tells you not to fear being with someone again. Don’t give up on love.”

They added, “On one hand, this song also sends a message to us not to play with people’s hearts and give false hopes.”

Their fans immediately expressed their support, praising their tandem and the lyrics. They also praised the blending of the artists’ voices.

Some of their favorite lyrics were: “Huwag mong pipigilan na muling umibig / Huwag mong isusuko ang pagmamahal / Huwag mong iisipin na muling masasaktan / Huwag kang matakot.”

The two leaders in OPM have resonated with Gen Z and millennials for their vulnerability in their songs on love and life if there’s anything that the success of their music proves, perhaps having them find ways to connect with listeners authentically.

Gracenote was also present during December Avenue’s 15th-anniversary concert to show support. The trending song “Balang Araw ay Mapapangiti” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital platforms.
