Filipino-Chinese actress Sophie Ng recently revealed how some people tell her she looks a lot like Kylie Padilla.

She shared during the grand press conference of the film "Her Locket" held at the Oriental Palace in Quezon City on Aug. 27, "Actually, many people tell me that I look like her, but the funny thing is that Kylie Padilla is always on my radar, but I don't see her personally."

She shared how she almost met Kylie prior at Tokyo Disneyland.

"Kylie Padilla was also there, (but) I was not aware. That's when my friends said that the face was very familiar, so it's a shame we didn't meet because I really wanted to meet her."

The comparison took a weird turn with some people spreading gossip that she was Kylie's half-sister.

"We were in Hinulugan Taktak that time, and then when our director said cut, I was surprised because people were asking to take pictures with me, and then I found out that someone was spreading rumors that I was the illegitimate child of Robin Padilla, and Kylie Padilla was my half-sister," Sophie shared.

Playing the role of young Jewel

"Her Locket" is Sophie's first full-length film.

She mentioned how she can totally relate to her character in the film, Jewel.

"Honestly speaking, young Jewel and I are very similar, we both go through the same thing when it comes to being a hard-headed kid because honestly speaking I don't follow the traditions given to a fil-chi family," Sophie shared.

A Rebecca Chuaunsu Film Production offering, "Her Locket" is part of this year's Sinag Maynila Independent Film Festival.

It runs from September 4-8 in various cinemas across Metro Manila.

The film follows the story of Jewel Ouyang, the daughter of a wealthy Chinese businessman who suffers from dementia.

With the aid of a locket, Jewel gradually recalls her past.

Directed and written by J.E Tiglao and Maze Miranda, "Her Locket" also stars Boo Gabunada, Elora Españo, Benedict Cua, Francis Mata, Tommy Alenjandrino and more.
