Para racer Mangliwan dazzles, advances to men's 400m T52 finals in Paralympics

Para wheelchair racer Jerrold Mangliwan secured his spot in the final round after finishing fourth in the Men's 400m T52 Round 1-Heat 1 event of the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games at the Stade de France Friday, Aug. 30.

Racing in his third consecutive Olympic stint, Mangliwan clocked in 1 minute and 5.79 seconds to barge to the medal round.

Belgian Maxime Carabin topped the heats with a time of 54.48sec – which marked his personal-best – while Swiss Fabian Blu (1:04.08), Mexican Mondragon Hernandez (1:05:71), Japanese Tatsuya Ito (1:09:55) clinched second, third and fifth, respectively.

Finals is set Saturday, Aug. 31, at the same venue.
