The quick response of Manila Police District (MPD) operatives to a robbery complaint resulted in the arrest of two motorcycle thieves in Tondo, Manila, on Thursday, August 29.
Police identified the suspects as “Zenki” and “Mico,” both residents of Tondo.
Prior to the incident, the victim narrated that he had just parked his motorcycle in front of his house on Pacheco Street in Barangay 112 when he realized that he had left its key in the vehicle.
When the victim returned to retrieve the key, the motorcycle was already gone.
The victim reported the incident to the police.
Operatives from the Don Bosco Police Community Precinct (PCP) and the Intelligence and Follow-Up Operations Team immediately launched an operation that resulted in the suspects' arrest and the recovery of the stolen motorcycle.
The motorcycle's owner expressed gratitude for the swift action of the police.
The suspects are currently detained at MPD Police Station 1 and will face charges for violating Republic Act 10883 (The New Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016).
The police added that they are also conducting a manhunt for the two other accomplices of the suspect, identified as “Kokey” and “Jeffrey.”
