Widower shot dead in Laguna

ALAMINOS, Laguna â€“ A 60-year-old widower was shot dead in Barangay San Agustin, this town, on Friday night, August 2.

Police said the victim, Melchor Gonzales Vicente, of Barangay San Miguel here was walking in an alley on his way home when a man appeared and shot him.

The suspect fled and Vicente was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead due to a bullet wound.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
