PAGASA: Cloudy skies for Metro Manila; 'habagat' to affect western Visayas, Mindanao
Localized thunderstorms are expected to bring cloudy skies over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, while the southwest monsoon (habagat) will affect the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), in its weather forecast, said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms may be experienced in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The "habagat," on the other hand, is also expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, the Negros Island Region, the Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, as well as during moderate to at times heavy rains.
