Las Piñas to experience heavy traffic due to retrofitting activity by DPWH

The local government of Las Piñas announced that heavy traffic is expected on some roads starting August 6 to September 6 due to retrofitting and strengthening of permanent bridge activities of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).    

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the city will implement traffic rerouting to be conducted at Diego Cera bridge along Quirino Avenue.

  She said for light vehicles going to north and south bound must take Tramo Street and vice versa.

The mayor said "stop and go" traffic scheme will be implemented and light vehicles passing Kabihasnan Road going to Zapote Road must take Quirino Avenue.

Aguilar said heavy trucks and private vehicles coming from Kabihasnan Road to Zapote Road should take Quirino Avenue then to Villareal Street and C5 Extension.
