Yulo, who didn’t even qualify to his pet event in the Tokyo edition three years ago, completed his redemption tour with a flawless routine in the final to garner a score of 15.000 and beat silver winner Artem Dolgopyat of Israel and Fil-British and qualification top scorer and Fil-British Jake Jarman who settled for the bronze.

It was truly a performance to remember for Yulo who saved his best for last in the floor exercise after only scoring 14.766 in the qualification round and 14.333 in the all-around final.

The pint-sized 4-foot-11 dynamo added the biggest feather to an already decorated hat joining Tokyo medalist Hidilyn Diaz as the only Filipinos to bag the gold medal in the biggest sporting event in the world
