Call center agent-turned-NPA rebel surrenders

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – A 28-year-old New People’s Army rebel surrendered to the police in Cavite on Friday, August 2.

The surrenderer was identified as David, single, a resident of Calaca, Batangas.

David was a call center agent before he joined the NPA in the Barrio under Platoon Silangan, Sub-Regional Military Area 4 C.

He was a former member of Cavite State University Kilos Na (CKN) under Anakbayan Cavite and Non-periodic Status Report Listed (NPRSL).

David is undergoing custodial debriefing and received P1,500 cash assistance and a sack of rice from the 401st Maneuver Company.

The Police Regional Office 4-A said David’s surrender was a result of an inter-unit collaboration which was a testament to the whole-of-the-nation approach to sustain the gains attained under Executive Order No. 70 or the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
