Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando together with other officials turned over 13,172 boxes of relief goods from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to Marilao, Bulacan residents as aid after the onslaught of the enhanced habagat and Typhoon Carina on July 24.
The officials and the Bulacan Provincial Social Welfare Development Office (PSWDO) distributed 3,957 boxes in Barangay Saog, 7,070 in Barangay Lambakin, and 2,145 in Barangay Tabing Ilog.
Fernando said they are now scouting for a big space or lot for the creation of a flood water storage.
On Friday, August 2, the province received 416 boxes of aid from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for victims of the weather disturbances.
