Steelworker arrested for illegal possession of firearms in Parañaque City

A steelworker was arrested for illegal possession of firearms in Parañaque City on Thursday, August 29.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as "Albert," 38. He arrested at around 5:40 a.m. inside his house at in Barangay San Martin de Porres, Parañaque City.

Albert was arrested by members of the Marcelo Green Substation during the implementation of a search warrant issued by Parañaque City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Executive Judge Jaime M. Guray.

The police was able to confiscate from him a .38 caliber revolver with eight live ammunition, .22 caliber firearm with three live ammunition, and three ammunition of an unknown caliberof firearm.

The suspect was detained at the Parañaque City custodial facility and was charged with illegal possession of firearms.

The recovered pieces of evidences were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for ballistic examination.
