The Premier Volleyball League has postponed its Reinforced Conference knockout semifinals scheduled on Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City due to power outage in the area.
In a statement, the league said the continuous downpour over the past days has caused damage to several electrical posts supplying power to the Arena, rendering the venue inoperable.
With the development, the semis are moved to Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, while the Finals, which was originally scheduled on Saturday, is moved on Monday, Sept. 2, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
The league added that all purchased tickets will be automatically refunded, with the amount set to be credited back to the mode of payment used for the original purchase.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your continued support,” the statement read.
The knockout semis pit PLDT against Akari, and Creamline versus Cignal. The winning teams in the two matchups will advance to the knockout finals.
