DOH alerts public about 'malicious' page using PGH name

The Department of Health (DOH) warned the public on Thursday, Aug. 29, about Facebook pages that are “maliciously” using the name of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

“The DOH clarifies that these pages are fake and are not affiliated with or endorsed by PGH or the Department,” the DOH said in a statement.

“Furthermore, any statements, comments, and transactions made by these accounts are fraudulent,” the DOH added.

The Health Department also noted that “criminal charges may be pressed if related posts persist.”

The DOH urged the public to “source information only from legitimate sources and platforms, such as the Health Department.”
