The local governments of Muntinlupa, Taguig, and Pateros announced the suspension of classes on Aug. 28 due to bad weather.
Classes in all levels in public and private schools on Aug. 28 were suspended in Muntinlupa, Taguig and Pateros.
“Dahil sa masamang lagay ng panahon, walang pasok sa lahat ng levels ng mga paaralan, pribado o pampubliko, ngayong araw, August 28, 2024 (Due to bad weather, no classes in all school levels, private o public, today, August 28, 2024),” Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon posted on Facebook.

The Taguig City government also announced: “Due to the continuous heavy rainfall brought by Habagat (southwest monsoon), classes in all levels (public and private) in Taguig City are suspended today, August 28, 2024. This decision is made to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and school personnel.”

Pateros Mayor Miguel Ponce III also suspended classes.
“Idineklara ngayong araw August 28, 2024 ng ating Punongbayan Mayor IKE PONCE na suspendido ang klase sa lahat ng antas sa Bayan ng Pateros pampubliko man o pribado sanhi ng Orange Rainfall Warning na nakataas Ngayon sa sa buong NCR (Mayor Ike Ponce declared today, August 28, 2024, that classes are suspended in all levels in the Municipality of Pateros, public or private, due to the Orange Rainfall Warning that is in effect in the whole NCR),” the Pateros municipal government announced.
