Just arrived: New fragrances to add to your collection

Unveil your signature scents with these new arrivals

I’ve noticed that perfumes are making quite a comeback in the beauty industry. This renewed interest is driven by a growing appreciation for the art of scent, particularly among the younger market, including my tween girl.

Unlike the older generations who are most likely to stay loyal to a handful of scents, today’s fragrance enthusiasts enjoy collecting these bottles. They choose perfumes based on their mood for the day or layer different scents to create their own unique and customized blend.

It’s no wonder that perfumes are making waves with new releases. If you’re thinking about expanding your fragrance collection, here are some of the latest offerings to consider.

Fresh takes

If you’re the type who gravitates toward an established brand and its many iterations, then these three revisited and updated perfumes might be up your alley.

Gabrielle L'Eau by Chanel

The very first Chanel Gabrielle was launched in 2017 with Kristen Stewart as the face. From then, it has released four more versions, including this latest one—Gabrielle L’Eau. Sharing the same notes of four exquisite flowers of jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom, and tuberose, in-house perfumer Olivier Polge drew inspiration from the idea of a fresh and sparkling scent that enhances femininity. Their team has reworked tuberose to bring out its fresh green botanical qualities, adding berry accents for that added invigorating scent.

Kate Spade New York Bloom

Citrus scents, the first bloom ones, are invigorating. If you can spot calamansi flowers, try smelling them and you’ll have an idea of what I am referring to. Kate Spade New York Bloom Eau de Toilette encapsulates this with Lemon Promofioré and sweet orange essence, along with granny smith apple, white camelia, orange flower, ylang-ylang, cedarwood and sandalwood essence, and Cashmeran. When we had the chance to take a whiff of this, almost everyone agreed that this was the best version so far from Kate Spade Bloom series.

MCM Crush

German label MCM (Modern Creation München) has transformed its signature Stark Backpack with its iconic monogram print into an adorable perfume bottle. Now in its fourth iteration, Crush may just be the flirtiest yet, featuring notes of frozen pear, pink pepper, fresh apricot nectar, handpicked Rose de Mai, and ambrette. The gold-tone bottle, set against pink leather, is complemented by a short leather strap for added style and convenience—making this the one of the most adorable bottles to bring with you anywhere.

Elevate his scent

Childhood memories, in relation to fragrances, are connected to either our fathers or our guy friends. And I discovered two new scents that fall in each of these two categories.

Ferragamo.jpeg

Ferragamo

Red Leather by Ferragamo, as the name entails, harnesses the luxurious and sensual scent of leather. With notes of Italian bergamot, mandarin pulp, ginger fresh, jasmine, orris ultimate, rosemary, vetiver, soft leather, and sandalwood, it is for the man who values connections and experiences and continually dreaming big. It’s great for those who need a spritz of confidence to start their day right at work.

Montblanc legend blue.jpeg
Montblanc

Classy yet modern, elegant yet masculine, Montblanc Legend Blue envelopes the wearer in its aromatic and woody fragrance. Fresh notes of mint and lavender blend seamlessly with the rich, woody aromas of cedar and sandalwood, creating a charming scent ideal for a sunny day out exploring the world.

Scent crafting
If you are in search of your very own unique scent, and haven’t explored the art of layering fragrances, then it’s time to consider these options for creating a truly personalized fragrance experience.

Kayali.jpeg

Kayali

With the brand’s hashtag #EveryLayerOfYou, founder Mona Kattan aims to encourage everyone to have fun and experiment with layering her scents. Encased in vibrant glass bottles—both opaque and clear with gold accents—collecting these fragrances can become an addictive pleasure as they double as decorative pieces. An interesting tidbit is the numbering system assigned to each scent: it corresponds to the number of tests required to perfect each formulation. For instance, Eden Juicy Apple 01 was perfected on the first try, while Déjà Vu White Flower 57 took more iterations to achieve.

Les Fleurs de Lanvin

If you love floral scents, then this perfume house’ latest release of Les Fleur collection might tickle your fancy. Choose from floral green Sweet Jasmine, fruity floral aquatic Water Lily, citrus woody floral Blue Orchid, and fruity floral musky Sunny Magnolia. Collecting them all means you have your very own floral bouquet at home, on demand. Now, that’s a luxurious way to enjoy a variety of exquisite scents.

Le Labo Discovery Set.jpg

Le Labo

Not sure what to get from cult brand Le Labo? Choosing can be tricky, so their Discovery Set is a great place  to start. It features five of their best selling scents, including 1.5ml each of Another 13, The Matcha 26, Rose 31, The Noir 29, and Santal 33. You can wear them alone or mix and match to create your own unique combinations. Plus, the set is perfect for travel and makes for a thoughtful gift, complete with a personalized label.
