The Iloilo City Health Office has recorded 42 new dengue cases.

Nine-hundred forty-five dengue cases and four fatalities were recorded from January 1 to August 27.

The state of calamity declaration paves way for the release of the quick response fund amounting to more than P7 million.

This was the third such declaration here.  The first was last March for water shortage. The second was for pertussis or whooping cough last April which was recently lifted.
