Cavite LGUs suspend classes on Aug. 28

CAVITE – Several local government units (LGUs) announced the suspension of classes due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Classes in all levels, public and private, are canceled in the following areas:

  • Bacoor City
  • Imus City
  • Kawit
  • Noveleta

Work in government offices in Bacoor City was also suspended, except for agencies whose functions involve essential public services and emergency management operations.

According to a heavy rainfall warning issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration at 8:00 a.m., Cavite will be affected by light to moderate with occasional heavy rains within three hours, alongside Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Batangas.
