Both undefeated through two games, the Elasto Painters and the Road Warriors both aim to keep their spots atop their group at the end of their 7:30 p.m. collision.

Terrafirma (0-2), meanwhile, tries to finally barge into the Group A win column when it takes on a Meralco team (1-1) that is raring to get back on track in the opening game at 5:00 p.m.

The Elasto Painters should be brimming with confidence heading into what is looking to be a thrilling contest especially after pulling the rug from under the Barangay Ginebra Kings, 73-64, in an out-of-town game in Candon City.

Rain or Shine is proving to be true to the words of head coach Yeng Guiao who declared that he now has a lineup that could give the perennial contenders a run for their money.

The first two games were truly a show of depth for the Elasto Painters who are getting contributions from all across the board led by import Aaron Fuller who has been dominant inside with averages of 20 points and 21 rebounds per contest.

Of course, his supporting cast features guys like Gian Mamuyac, Santi Santillan, Adrian Nocum, Jhonard Clarito, Andrei Caracut and even rookies Felix Lemetti and Caelan Tiongson.

NLEX, though dominant through two games, has not really faced a legitimate challenge like the Rain or Shine, with its victories coming off against struggling and still winless teams Blackwater and Phoenix.

Having the killer instinct is also something that the Road Warriors also need to develop after barely escaping in their two wins despite building big leads. They certainly have the tools to succeed with Robert Bolick and import Myke Henry who was a scoring machine so far with 34 points per game to go along with 9.5 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Dyip are hoping that a four-day break should be enough to further forge their chemistry and finally find the winning formula on their third try.

Stanley Pringle and Christian Standhardinger are both putting good numbers but have not really played on the same page with Terrafirma main man Juami Tiongson and import Antonio Hester.

Meralco is looking into getting import Allen Durham back into game shape as the Bolts also try to deal with a slew of injuries with Chris Newsome likely to join Allein Maliksi and Raymond Almazan on the sickbay after hurting his ankle in their loss to TNT.
