Kim Soo-hyun, Cho Bo-ah to star in drama ‘Knock-Off’ coming to Disney+


After starring in “Queen of Tears,” Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun will be headlining the drama “Knock-Off” with actress Cho Bo-ah that will be streaming exclusively on Disney+ in 2025. 

Dramatic, dangerous and crime-ridden, “Knock-Off” dives into the murky world of counterfeit goods, following a man whose life is ruined in the wake of the 1997 Asian financial crisis.

Kim Soo-hyun and Cho Bo-ah will star in the Disney+ drama "Knock-Off" next year (Disney+)

Desperate to rebuild what he once had, Sungjun (Kim Soo-hyun) finds himself drawn into the knock-off goods trade, quickly climbing up to the top of the counterfeit market scene.

Cho Bo-ah (“Tale of the Nine Tailed,” “Military Prosecutor Doberman”) will play the role of Hye-jung, Sungjun’s ex-lover and a special judicial police officer tasked to go after counterfeit goods. 

“Knock-Off” is directed by Park Hyeonseok (“Song of the Bandits,” “Stranger 2”) and written by Han Junghoon (“Song of the Bandits,” “38 Task Force”). 

“Knock-Off” is the latest Korean series to be announced as part of the ever-expanding selection of APAC storytelling on Disney+. 

In 2024 alone, over 10 high quality Korean titles have been released, building on the positive momentum of the streamer’s APAC content slate from 2023, which featured hits including “Moving,” “Big Bet” and “The Worst of Evil.”
