High trust ratings mean Pinoys understand gov't efforts—Marcos
President Marcos said his high trust and approval ratings mean people are starting to understand the efforts that his administration is doing in alleviating their hardships.

"Every time this happens, as far as I am concerned, it seems to be people are beginning to understand what we are trying to do, they’re beginning to feel the effects of it," Marcos said in an interview on the sidelines of the oathtaking of new officers of various media groups on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
According to OCTA, 71 percent of adult Filipinos expressed trust in Marcos, up two percent from 69 percent in the first quarter of 2024.
OCTA also found that 68 percent of adult Filipinos are satisfied with Marcos’ performance, a three percent increase from the 65 percent recorded in the first quarter of 2024 TNM Survey conducted in March 2024.
The President said such statistics serve as an inspiration for him.
"And so you must continue to do more and even try to do even better --- so, that’s always an inspiration for me," he said.
When asked if the high trust and approval ratings could be attributed to his visits to provinces around the country to distribute presidential assistance to communities hit by the El Niño phenomenon, Marcos said "maybe."
"Well, maybe – kasama na ‘yun (it's part of that), but I think because it’s a trust rating, it is more --- ayun na nga nakikita naman na (it is being seen that) we’re really doing our best to alleviate the hardships na dinadaanan ng mga tao (the people are experiencing). It’s good to have that kind of --- that kind of results or statistics behind you," he said.
