The Southern Police District (SPD) said 79 individuals, including 37 most wanted persons, were arrested by different police stations and units in a single day on Aug. 23.
The individuals were arrested under SPD’s 29th Warrant Day operations carried out in its areas of jurisdiction: Muntinlupa, Taguig, Pateros, Makati, Paranaque, Pasay and Las Pinas.

According to the SPD, which is headed by Brig Gen. Leon Victor Rosete, of the 79, three were top most wanted persons, 33 were most wanted persons and 42 were other wanted persons.
In Muntinlupa City, alias Edmar, 41, was arrested by personnel from Substation 5 Ayala-Alabang in Rizal Aplaya in Barangay Poblacion. The suspect evaded arrest for 12 years for a case of slight physical injuries.
The bench warrant was issued by Judge Ethel Mercado-Gutay of Muntinlupa Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 80 on March 5, 2012 with a recommended bail of P2,000.
The Warrant Day operations were conducted with precision and coordination across all units under the Southern Police District, resulting in significant achievements.
The Makati City Police Station conducted 10 operations, leading to the arrest of 10 individuals, including one top most wanted Person, one most wanted person, and eight other wanted persons.
In Muntinlupa City, 13 operations were carried out, leading to the arrest of 13 individuals, including 10 most wanted persons and three other wanted persons.
The Taguig Police implemented seven operations, resulting in the arrest of seven persons, all classified as most wanted persons.
Meanwhile, the Pateros Police arrested two other wanted persons in two operations.
The Pasay Police executed 16 operations and arrested 16 individuals, including a top most wanted person, five most wanted persons, and 10 other wanted persons.
In Las Pinas, the police conducted 16 operations, resulting in the arrest of 16 individuals, including five most wanted persons and 11 other wanted persons.
The Parañaque Police conducted 12 operations that led to the arrest of 12 individuals, including a top most wanted person, four most wanted persons, and seven other wanted persons.
The District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) conducted one operation, resulting in the arrest of one most wanted person.
The District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) arrested one most wanted person while the District Traffic Unit (DTU) and District Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU) also nabbed another wanted person.
