Known for its big hits “With A Smile”, “Elesi”, “Spolarium”, “Magasin”, and “Ang Huling El Bimbo”, Eraserheads will light up the Big Dome in the grand opening of the eight-school tournament, with other performance soon to be announced.

“We’re happy to share the news that the EHeads are going to share their magic with the UAAP as we start Season 87. It’s happening at the perfect time,” Office of Athletics and Sports Development Director Bo Perasol of season host University of the Philippines said.

“They’ve reached the pinnacle of their career. They’ve reached the top, disbanded, reunited and have come full circle,” Perasol added.

Eraserheads, which is composed of vocalist Ely Buendia, Marcus Adoro, Buddy Zabala and Raimund Marasigan, recently received the Gawad Oblation Award – a coveted recognition given by the country’s state university to its alumni who had “extraordinary service with or in the name of UP.”
