Man caught cleaning pen gun inside pedicab in Malate, Manila

A man was caught cleaning his pen gun inside a pedicab in Malate, Manila on Sunday, August 25.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Randy Mingao, 31, resident of Paco, Manila.

According to the police report, MPD operatives were conducting foot patrol along Vasquez Street corner Remedios Street when they saw the suspect seating inside a pedicab and cleaning and fixing a pen gun loaded with one piece of live ammunition.

The police immediately confiscated the pen gun, an improvised firearm.

The suspect will face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or The Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition
