According to the city’s public information office, the initiative was led by the City Environmental Management Department (CEMD) along with the Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD).

City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan commended the CEMD and PSTMD for the collaborative effort in implementing the anti-dengue campaign, particularly in areas near creeks and other waterways that are prone to mosquito breeding.

The collaboration of the CEMD and PSTMD remains relentless in implementing measures to control the mosquito population in our communities, especially through fogging operations and cleaning canals and waterways to prevent mosquitoes from breeding),” he said.

Malapitan also urged the public to contribute to dengue prevention efforts by maintaining cleanliness and protecting their children from mosquito bites.

To all Batang Kankaloo, the fight against dengue starts with us. Let's work together to keep our surroundings clean at home to protect our families),” Malapitan added.
