The rewards continue to pour in for the golden boy Carlos Yulo.

Sports patrons Chooks-to-Go and Bounty honored their commitment on Friday, Aug. 23, by awarding a P3-million incentive to Paris Olympics double gold medalist Yulo.

The awarding ceremony was part of the grand opening of Chooks! at Festival Mall in Muntinlupa— the company’s 38th dine-in restaurant.

While Yulo isn't officially part of Bounty's pool of athletes and endorsers, his historic stint in the French capital certainly brought immense pride and honor to the country.

Fittingly feting Yulo’s mints in the Games—in the floor exercise and vault of the men’s artistic gymnastics, Bounty recognized his exceptional talent and dedication and joined the chorus of admirers of the latest toast of Philippine sports.

Attending the ceremony were Bounty Fresh Group Holdings Chief Executive Officer Atty. Kenneth Cheng, Vice President for Corporate Marketing and Chooks-to-Go Inc. Executive Vice President for Operations Patricia Cheng-Lim, Chief Finance Officer Diane Choi, and Festival Mall manager Yvette Dizon.

Atlanta Games silver winner Mansueto “Onyok” Velasco and Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Eumir Marcial, both of boxing, Yulo’s fellow Paris Olympian and fencer Samantha Catantan, and triathlon star Nikko Huelgas, also marketing head of the Philippine Olympic Committee, were present in the event.

Gymnastics Association of the Philippines chief Cynthia Carrion also accompanied Yulo to the event.

Yulo, 24, who will go down in the annals as the greatest Filipino Olympian, unless someone exceeds him in the Los Angeles edition of the grandest sports spectacle or in the years and decades to come, not only brought pride to the nation but also typified the spirit of excellence that Chooks-to-Go and Bounty aim to celebrate.

The special ceremony marked a significant moment as Chooks-to-Go, Bounty, and Yulo expressed their gratitude and commitment to the fans who have supported them throughout their journey.

“Chooks-to-Go and Bounty have always been more than just a brand; it’s a beacon of hope for Philippine sports,” Cheng-Lim said.

“We are honored to reward Carlos Yulo’s extraordinary accomplishments and are excited to share this moment with the fans who have been a crucial part of his success,” she added.

The cash bonus is added to the long list of rewards for Yulo, which includes the law-mandated P20 million, another P20 million from the Office of the President, P14 million from the House of Representatives, P10 million from Manny V. Pangilanan, P5 million from ArenaPlus, P3 million from the Senate, P3 million and a P32-million three-bedroom condominium in McKinley Hill from Megaworld, and P2 million from the Manila LGU, among others.
