PNP steps up coordination with foreign counterparts to locate Alice Guo

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has strengthened its coordination with its foreign counterparts to locate and bring back dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo into the country.

PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said they are also coordinating with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to maximize the information-gathering.

“Our coordination with our counterparts is ongoing. Hopefully, there will be positive developments and eventually bring back Mayor Alice Guo,” said Fajardo.

What the PNP wants to duplicate was its success story in locating Guo’s sister Sheila and alleged Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) executive Cassandra Li Ong.

The two were barred from leaving in Indonesia and Fajardo earlier said that it was because of the coordination of the PNP’s police attaché in Jakarta.

Fajardo said the cancellation of the passports of the two, including that of Guo, also led to the detention of Guo’s sister and Ong in  Indonesia.

Both Guo’s sister and Ong were already transported back to the Philippines.

Guo was reported to have left the country last month through the alleged assistance of POGO executives.
