Pasay police arrest Chinese national over 'bouncing check'

A Chinese national wanted for two counts of bouncing checks in Baguio City was arrested by members of the Pasay City Police Substation 1 during the conduct of anti-criminality operation.

Col. Samuel Pabonita, Pasay City police chief, said the suspect identified as alias “Yap” was arrested at around 7:40 p.m. on Friday, August 23, along Pedro Bucaneg Street, CCP Complex, Barangay 76, Pasay City.

Pabonita said the suspect who was placed by the police as one of the city’s wanted individual was arrested by virtue of bench of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Roberto Rapayrapay Mabalot of Baguio City, Benguet Municipal Trial Courts Branch 1 on October 10, 2023.

He said the arrested suspect was detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
