Woman, 61, hurt after being hit by 'kuliglig' in Tondo

A 61-year-old woman was injured after an improvised motorcycle known as "kuliglig" hit her while she was walking at Pier 2, North Harbor in Tondo, Manila, on Friday night, August 23.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the motorcycle driver as Enrique Villannueva, 42, a resident of Tondo, Manila. 

Investigation disclosed that the victim, identified as Rosela Obane, was walking inside the striping area of Pier 2 at 8:20 p.m. when the motorcycle hit her.

Due to the impact, the victim fell on the pavement and sustained body injuries. She was rushed to Mary Johnston Hospital by authorities.

The suspect is currently held at Tondo Police Station.
