Senator Risa Hontiveros called out as "fake" the photos of her and dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo wherein they were made to look like friends.

"Wala akong kaibigan na pekeng Pilipino. ðŸ¤¨ (I don't have a fake Filipino as a friend)," Hontiveros wrote in a Facebook post on Friday afternoon, Aug. 23.

The lady lawmaker was obviously referring to Guo, who flew out of the country last July 18 amid summons from the Senate to attend its inquiry on illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).

"Mag-ingat po sa mga edited photos online na magkasama kami diumano at magkaibigan daw kami. THIS IS FAKE," Hontiveros wrote.

(Be wary of these edited photos online that show us together and portray us as friends.)

"Also calling on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, & #TikTok to moderate AI content! We will get to the bottom of who is circulating this," she added.
