The event will also honor the achievements of prominent leaders and innovators representing the Asian music industry, and will be attended by some of the biggest names in the overseas music industry, including Billboard president Mike Van, editor-in-chief Hannah Karp and Brazilian singer Luisa Sonza.

SB19 and BINI will attend and perform at the event, and will also receive the Voice of Asia Award, according to Billboard Philippines.

"Starting with this event, Billboard Korea will focus on discovering artists like the second BTS in the birthplace of pop music, and establish various bridgeheads to provide opportunities for Korean artists to advance into the overseas market that they have longed for for decades," said Billboard Korea publisher Kim Yuna.

She also aims to "establish Billboard K's own identity, introduce K-music and culture to the world, and elicit empathy from K-music fans around the world."

In addition, the K-Music Artist Biographical Dictionary in Korean and English will be released at the event. The special edition, which will continue to be published once a year in the future, is expected to become an attractive guidebook for understanding the trends of K-pop artists of the year selected by Billboard headquarters, Korean media reported.

According to a Korean news report, the first issue will showcase 16 K-pop groups that performed well on Billboard charts from Jan. 7 to Dec. 30, 2023. These are Aespa, ATEEZ, BLACKPINK, BTS, ENHYPEN, Fifty Fifty, (G)I-DLE, ITZY, Le Sserafim, NCT 127, NCT Dream, NewJeans, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Tomorrow X Together and TWICE .
