Mayor Biazon welcomes Big Bad Wolf Books to Muntinlupa


Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon welcomed the opening of the Big Bad Wolf Books Sale in the city. 

Biazon attended the opening of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale on Aug. 22 at The Filinvest Tent in Alabang. 

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will run from Aug. 23 to Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to midnight. 

Joining Biazon at the opening were Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines Dato’ Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, Big Bad Wolf co-founder Jacqueline Ng, Big Bad Wolf Philippine partner Carol Chuaying, Filinvest Alabang First Vice President Don-Don Mari Ubaldo,  Filinvest Corporate City Association Inc. general manager Kristine Triviño and First Vice President and retail business head Michael Angelo Dumalo.

There will be over two million brand new books available at the  Big Bad Wolf Book Sale. 

“We're happy and excited to have the Big Bad Wolf here. There are so many books to choose from—good quality yet affordable,” Biazon posted on Facebook. 

He added, “Thank you to the Big Bad Wolf for coming to Alabang, at syempre maraming salamat din sa kanilang donated books sa atin na pwedeng magamit sa ating public library and schools. Tamang-tama 'to sa mas pinaiigting nating reading program dito sa Muntinlupa (and, of course, we thank them for their donated books that can be used in our public library and schools. This is perfect for our enhanced reading program here in Muntinlupa).” 

According to the Big Bad Wolf Books website, it “was launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2009, as the brainchild of BookXcess' founders, Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng. The primary mission is to cultivate reading habits, increase English literacy worldwide and build a new generation of readers, by making books more affordable and accessible, to everyone.”
