ILOILO CITY – More than P1-million shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation on Thursday night, August 22, in Janiuay town, Iloilo province.

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (IPPO) arrested three suspected drug pushers – alias Batok, Artem, and Grasya. The suspects yielded 150 grams of suspected shabu.
Police apprehended the suspects following information from residents against Batok, a high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade.
Police Col. Bayani Razalan, IPPO director, cited operatives and the people for the arrest of the suspects.
“A big thank you to our courageous operating team members and engaged Ilonggo community. I sincerely appreciate your bravery and commitment to a drug-free community,” Razalan said.
Police monitored Batok for months before conducting the operation.
The suspects face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
