'Ikaw na next': Legarda confident Alice Guo will be caught soon

Senator Loren Legarda has expressed confidence that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo would soon be caught and brought back to the Philippines.

Legarda had this to say following the capture of Alice's associate Cassandra Li Ong and sister, Shiela Guo.

"We welcome this significant development in a case that has captured the nation's attention," Legarda said.

"The apprehension of Shiela Guo and Cassandra Li Ong is a crucial step forward in our ongoing efforts to uncover the truth. I am confident that Alice Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping, will be located soon and made to answer the serious allegations surrounding her identity and involvement in illegal activities," added the lady senator.

The Guos and Ong are entangled in the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) controversy. They have been the subject of investigation by the House of Representatives and the Senate.

"I have no doubt that the Senate, in aid of legislation, will pursue this investigation to its full resolution, ensurin that justice prevails and our laws are upheld," Legarda said.
