She had fever on August 4 and admitted to a hospital three days later. She passed away on August 9.

Tan said the victim’s death was classified as a probable case of dengue with warning signs. This is subject for verification, she added.

The CHO said that a probable case is a suspected case with positive dengue IgM antibody test.

Two other dengue deaths here were reported last month.

As of August 10, the CHO has recorded 602 dengue cases, 73.5 percent higher than the 347 cases with three deaths from January to August.
